This is a blog for anyone who wants to give or receive cost effective anti-aging solutions for skin, health and wellness. The idea came to me last year searching the web. I needed something to jump start my skin. As many people may notice when there is a change of seasons, one’s skin feels the effects and different treatments, moisturizers etc. are needed. This could be due to many factors such as temperature changes, humidity and even allergies.
At any rate a few years ago I had a series of chemical peels at a salon for $90 a session. The peels did seem to noticeably help the look of my skin in many ways, unlike my experience with facials which may do a good job of cleansing but did nothing for my over all appearance. $90, however is a high price to pay, especially when you have to continue to have these treatments.While searching on the web I noticed a company that actually sold the same peeling products as the salon. This was something that could be done at home for a fraction of the cost. I tried their chemical peels and have been happy with the results along with my pocketbook.
There are other ideas out there like this and I would like to share and receive them. I would like to hear from women and men on other skin and health solutions, using techniques that actually work but don’t carry the salon price.
I am an artist and I consider my face a canvas. Sometimes the canvas needs repair and change. As an artist I become irate when I purchase expensive supplies at an art supply store that can be purchased inexpensively at a lowly hardware store. Its all in the packaging and marketing.
